Before co-founding SEO-PR, Greg Jarboe and Jamie O’Donnell headed public relations firms in Boston and San Francisco and managed corporate communications departments at Lotus and Ziff-Davis.

Greg Jarboe is the president and co-founder of SEO-PR and the author of YouTube and Video Marketing: An Hour a Day, published by Wiley in 2009. He is also one of the 25 successful online marketing gurus profiled in Michael Miller’s Online Marketing Heroes: Interviews with 25 Successful Online Marketing Gurus, published by Wiley in 2008.

Jarboe is member of the Rutgers faculty for the Mini-MBA: Digital Marketing program and a member of the Market Motive faculty. He is a principal in the ChannelOne Marketing Group. He is also a correspondent for Search Engine Watch and a frequent speaker at industry conferences.

Before co-founding SEO-PR in 2003, Jarboe was Vice President of Marketing for WebCT, which pioneered web-based course tools in the emerging e-learning market. Before that, he was Director of Corporate Communications for Ziff-Davis, where he helped launch dozens of new media. Prior to that, he was Director of Corporate Communications at Lotus Development Corp., where he launched new categories of software products, including Lotus Notes.

Jarboe graduated with distinction from the University of Michigan in 1971 after spending his junior year at the University of Edinburgh. He completed all the course work for his Masters in Applied Management at Lesley College. He lives in Acton, MA, and has been elected to the Acton Board of Selectmen.

Jamie O’Donnell, Co-founder

Jamie O’Donnell is the co-founder of SEO-PR and a member of the Market Motive faculty. He has more than 25 years of experience in public relations, direct marketing, and search engine optimization.

O’Donnell was the holder of senior management positions in the corporate arena and the owner of two public relations agencies in his career. For the past six years, he has been working in public relations in the search and social markets.

Prior to co-founding SEO-PR, he was the president of IDM Partners, an online direct marketing agency that had IBM Global Services, Sprint, and The Great Plains Software Division of Microsoft as clients. From 1995 to 1999, he headed JONA Group, a Bay-area PR and Marcom firm that launched more than 40 Internet startups. Before that, he was Vice President of the Enterprise Software practice at Hi Tech Communications.

O’Donnell has spoken at Executing Social Media, Bulldog Reporter, Search Engine Strategies, American Marketing Association (AMA), Business Marketing Association (BMA), and other conferences. He has supplied contributed articles for most of the search marketing sites and publications including Search Engine Watch, Search Insider, iMedia Connection; Adotas, Electronic Retailer and others.

O’Donnell has an M.A., Boston University, and B.A., Boston College.
